Terms of Service

Welcome to clay. These Terms govern your use of the clay. app and services, operated by Califica(“clay.”, “we”, “us”). By creating an account or using clay., you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy.
1. Who can use clay.
You must be at least 13 years old and able to enter a binding agreement. You’re responsible for the activity on your account and for keeping it secure.
2. What clay. is
clay. is a platform that helps tennis players find each other, arrange matches, log results, and build a record and reputation. clay. does not organize, supervise, or take part in the matches themselves. Arranging and playing a match — and meeting another person — is between you and the other player.
3. Your responsibilities
- Provide accurate profile and level information; play honestly and report results truthfully.
- Treat other players with respect. No harassment, hate speech, threats, spam, impersonation, or illegal activity.
- Only upload photos and content you have the right to use. Don’t upload others’ personal information without consent.
- Use shared contact information (e.g., a phone number revealed after a match) only to coordinate that match — not for marketing, spam, or any other purpose.
4. User content
You keep ownership of the content you post (photos, bio, reviews, scores). You grant clay. a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host and display that content to operate the service (including showing it to other users and in shareable match cards). You’re responsible for your content; we may remove content or suspend accounts that violate these Terms.
5. Reviews and reputation
Reviews are intended to be honest feedback about a real match. Don’t post false, retaliatory, or manipulated reviews. We may remove reviews that violate these Terms.
6. Safety and meeting in person
You meet and play with other people at your own risk. Use good judgment, meet in public courts, and follow local laws and safety guidance. clay. is not responsible for the conduct of any user or for anything that happens before, during, or after a match.
7. Account suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or harm other users or the service. You may delete your account any time in Settings → Delete my account.
8. Disclaimers
clay. is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind to the extent permitted by law. We don’t guarantee that you’ll find a match, that information posted by other users is accurate, or that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, clay. and Califica are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for disputes, injuries, or losses arising from interactions or matches between users.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms. We’ll post changes here with a new effective date; continued use means you accept the updated Terms.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of Peru, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
